Maria Petrosinelli is the current Assistant Principal at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School. She has been with the Providence Public School District (PPSD) for 26 years, the last six as Assistant Principal at MLK. Prior to working at MLK, she worked at Roger Williams Middle School for 13 years, and was a History teacher at Nathan Bishop Middle School for seven years.

Maria earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Science and Psychology from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island, and she also received a secondary certificate from Rhode Island College as well. She received her Master's degree in K-12 Administration from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.

Maria's vision for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School is that all students will exemplify H.O.P.E., which stands for helpful, optimistic, perseverance, and equity.

Harley Van Dunk is the current Assistant Principal at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School. He has worked in education for eight years, the last six in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). This will be his first year serving as Assistant Principal.

Harley earned his Bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He then received his Master's degree in Education and Human Development from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. 

Harley's vision for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School is a school community where students serve as learners and leaders through a rigorous and supportive learning community.
