Jeffrey Wright is the current Assistant Principal at Vartan Gregorian Elementary School. He has worked in education for the last 11 years, and this is his first year working in the Providence Public School District (PPSD). Prior to coming to PPSD, Jeffrey worked in the Central Falls School District and Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy as Assistant Principal, Leadership Fellow, and Scholar Support Specialist. He also worked at Lifespan for Bradley Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Jeffrey earned his Associate's degree from the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) in Warwick, Rhode Island. He received his Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Arizona Global Campus in Chandler, Arizona, and earned his Master's degree in Urban Education from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his Certification Program through the Principal Residency Network, and is currently enrolled in Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island pursuing his Doctorate degree.

Jeffrey's vision for Vartan Gregorian Elementary School is to build a positive climate and culture that enables educators to flourish through collaboration and support. Classrooms foster educational practices that cater to all children and all learning styles. All students are welcomed and seen while held to high expectations. Involvement from all stakeholders are critical to student outcomes and school community success.
